Toric Contact Lenses

Which Toric contact lenses Should I buy?

Toric contact lenses and regular contact lenses are made from the same material and they are either RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) or soft. The basic difference is in the design and not the material. Toric contacts have two powers that are created using curvatures of different angles.

One power is meant for treating astigmatism and the other is for myopia or hyperopia. Toric contacts also come with some special design to keep the lens stable during blinking and other eye movements. Toric lenses also do not rotate in order to provide crisp vision. Since Toric contacts must be custom fitted they take longer to make and are more expensive.

Soflens 66 Toric by Bausch & Lomb, Vertex Toric by Cooper Vision, Focus Dailies Toric by Ciba Vision, Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism by Johnson & Johnson, Acuvue Toric by Johnson & Johnson, Focus Toric by Ciba Vision, Proclear Toric by Cooper Vision, Freshlook Colorblends Toric by Wesley-Jessen and Frequency 55 are some of the renowned toric contacts offered at Optics Place.
