Ocular Science

Established in 1983, Ocular Science Inc. was acquired by Cooper Vision recently in July 2004. OSI primarily produces soft contact lenses, including disposable toric, cosmetic, multifocal and extended-wear lenses.

The company takes care to sell their products solely through private practitioners and practitioners associated with retail chains.

OSI offers contact lenses such as the 1-2 week throwaway lenses (which include Biomedics 38, Biomedics 55, Biomedics 55 Premier). Apart from this Ultraflex (also a 1-2 week disposable soft lens) are tinted varieties (though they do not change the eye color), which are meant for rigorous handling.
